Bio: Aivars Spilbergs, Dr.oec., Prof., Head of the Economics and Finance Department at the BA School of Business and Finance, University of Latvia. His academic interests are in financial technologies, risk management, and research methods in finance. He has over thirty-five years of pedagogical experience and more than twenty years of professional experience in banking and finance. His research focus is on financial sector development, digital transformation, and the application of AI technologies in higher education and science. He has experience as a project manager in both the scientific and finance industries. Since the beginning of 2025, he has been the manager of a project integrating generative AI into business school studies and research.
