Bio: Dr. Nikolaos Kareklas holds a Ph.D. in Library, Archival, and Information Systems from the University
of West Attica and an M.Sc. in Information Science from CITY University of London (School of
Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering).
From 2016 to 2023, he served as a laboratory associate at the Department of Archives, Library and
Information Systems of the University of West Attica. Since 2019, his research has focused on the
use and value of emerging technologies in Records Management, his primary field of expertise.
He has developed a distinguished professional career as an Information Manager, contributing to
numerous innovative projects in Greece, including the modernization and upgrade of the Elefsis
Refinery, the largest private industrial investment in the country to date. For several years, he also
served as Director of the Records Management Department at WWW, one of the few Greek companies specializing in the
professional management of archival materials.
Since 2019, he has been the Managing Director of GreenFence-MetalLogic Single Member S.A., a company specializing in
confidential data destruction and precious metals refining. In 2021, he received an honorary distinction at the Business Elite
Awards “40 Under 40”, recognizing his outstanding professional achievements and leadership.
